Refine your search after you've received your results.
> Click one of the top-level LookSmart categories displayed on the results page. Search will then display the matches to your keyword or phrase in the category you have chosen.

LookSmart is a newer index simular to Yahoo, where editors select and review sites. Each site receives a brief description and is paired up with other simular sites in over 24,000 catagories. They currently have over 800,000 sites index, with more added constantly. When a search in it's own database has completed, LookSmart passes you on to Alta Vista to complete your query.
