Description

AliWeb's database is built by using index files created by Webmasters, which contain a list and description of all pages on their site. AliWeb in turn reads this index file and compiles its main database. Unlike spider indexes, AliWeb can only search the text that is entered into the index file rather than the actual content of a document. While this can weed out unwanted results, the number of Webmasters who make their sites AliWeb-friendly are comparatively few.
